old to new - relax tea set
Here is the long awaited Tea gift set! This would make a good little thank-you gift or just something to show you care. I made it from a tetley tea container that is still full. I like how this turned out but it did take many experiments to get the lid right...
First I tried to paint it. This didnt work because the paint just chiped off. Then I tried to cover it in fabric which looked okay except that I later decided I didnt like the colour. So after a bit of thought I just put a circle of paper on it and glued on the ribbon. I like this best.
To colour the leaf stamp I just put some ink on a Q-tip, lightly misted it with water and then dabbed it onto the paper.Supply List:
- ink- tea dye distress ink, choc. chip, always artichoke
- paper- always artichoke, choclate chip, tan
- stamps- artfully asian, letters
- other- ribbon, glue gun
