ribbon turkey

Yes finally! We have a four day weekend here and I am so excited for thanksgiving! I love food hehe... I made this card for this week's 2 sketches 4 you challenge. Yesterday's card was the bonus sketch but now we get into the real stuff.
I had a vision of this adorable turkey in my head and then I got the idea of using ribbon for his tail feathers! I cut each piece out with a pattern I drew. I love how this turned out, it really adds dimension. I wasnt sure if I would like the brad eye but I think it worked out well.

The crackle paint gives it such an awesome effect, love it! I can't wait to try my new weathered wood one.

Supply List:

  • ink- tea dye distress ink, choc. chip, close to cocoa
  • paper- close to cocoa, cosmo cricket reverse of poinsetta, woodgrain paper, naturals ivory (SU)
  • stamps- daisy bucket wind swirl, french script
  • other- chain, brads, ribbon, distress crackle paint- antique linen, choc. chip marker, edge distresser
