love bird

Today was a beautiful day! The sun is shining, it is super warm and I even saw a woodpecker! I hope your weather is as beautiful as it is here... although we might be getting flurries this week :( Here is a card that is a little different than what I usaully do. There are so many possibilities with this Basic Grey stamp set. I mainly just bought it because I loved the branches but it also has tons of flowers, birds and butterflys.
I wanted to spotlight the bird so I used a small paper circle as a mask. The tree branch was done using the emboss resist technique.
Supply List:
  • ink- tea dyd distress ink, tempting turquise, embossing ink
  • paper- very vanilla, tempting turquoise, Scenic Route blue grid background
  • stamps- Basic Grey build-a-branch, SU gently falling (love)
  • other- printed tape measure, clear ep, embroidery floss
