Here is my card for this week's 2S4Y challenge! It is the second week of the Ultimate Card Showdown and although you can no longer enter to win the grand prize (unless you are among the very talented top 30) there are still lots of great prizes to be won! You should definately check out all the awesome cards and even join the challenge! This week I tried something very out of my comfort zone. I put a picture on my card! I really wanted to use this grungeboard frame and I thought these buildings would look great in it. This is a picture I took when I was in New York. It is the view from the Empire State Building! I tried to pick up the very subtle colours in the picture and the stripe paper actually works pretty well.
Supply List:
  • ink- tea dye distress ink, chocolate chip, blue colorbox pigment ink
  • paper- SU tangerine tango, Basic Grey equation from Recess collection, Making Memories passport, black
  • other- creative imaginations "discover" rub on, sewing machine, grungboard, antique linen crackle paint, flowers, button, printed ticket, TH edge distresser, MM brads
