A Jar!

My exciting news of the day: I applied for a job at a scrapbook store! I really hope they call soon and look at my resume. I included pictures of some of my work. I am really excited because I need to save money for the school Spain trip next spring and a job spending time with all those amazing scrapbook supplies would be a sweet way to do it! This was a very quick project but it will be very versatile. I might keep flowers or buttons in it I think. I actually punched 4 holes in the metal lid so I could sew on the button through all the flowers.
I just figured out how to make these cool tinfoil/newsprint flowers. They are a cross between my other newsprint flowers (tutorial) and the flowers that Donna makes. Her flowers are so great! You should definately check out all the Leah's Scrapbook Room videos, they have so many cool ideas.
Here are some chipboard keys I covered with newsprint. They are just tied around the jar with ribbon.

It will be a great way to save money for the trip, granted you don't spend your entire paycheck on the supplies you're supposed to be selling to other people!

Heather, what a wonderful jar! I love those keys and love the flower on top! So cute! Would be perfect to keep my buttons in! :)

Goo luck on that job. I'd spend my whole paycheck before I could get out of the store! LOL

Heather - good luck on the job at the craft store - I hope you get it - you can show them a thing or two.

Love the jar and the text that you used on it - it's great.

Oh- btw - the grunge paper roses are not hard - they are just time consuming... Give them a try!
