Paint Resist Tutorial

First of all I would just like to say... this technique looks sooooo cool! Love it. My new favourite thing.Stamp your image onto newspaper with clear embossing ink. (I glued my paper onto cardstock to give it more weight) Poor clear embossing powder onto your image and tap off excess. Heat until melted.
When you are sure the EP is cool, use acrylic paint to cover it. A medium coat is best - not globby and not to thin that you can still see the print.
This is very important! Wait until the paint is completely dry if you want a solid background. Mine turned out fine but it looks more worn... This looks cool too but may not be the effect you want.
When the paint is dry to your liking, used a baby wipe or damp cloth to gently wipe away the paint on the EP.

Here is the result! Pretty cool I must say. The card I posted yesterday (grunged butterfly) used this technique and I will soon be posting another example. For a different look try using a patterned paper. I would suggest a small pattern for best results especially if your image is detailed.

Very cool, Heather! Great explanation, and I liked the grunge-butterfly in the post above too!
