completed tiger book

Here is my completed science project! I have been so busy and there has been NO time to post. Sorry about my slacking but I do promise that I am working on 2 new mini albums and I will possibly even make a video to show them to you :) I will have them done within a few weeks and will have them posted soon after. Dont worry, there will be more to come before then too.
Close up of cover: BG white chipbaord stickers, cuttlekids letter die
The mini album is bound with 2 big binder rings. I added a bunch of coordinating tiger coloured ribbon.
All the plant pieces are from Micheals or something. I have had them for years...
I stamped the tiger on some cardstock, watercoloured it and added some glossy accents.
All the typed info is printed on regualr printer paper. I used a tea bag technique combined with some inking to distress it.
The sticks are glued on with a couple drops of glossy accents (works as adhesive too!) and I put one decrative stich in the middle with some embroidery floss.
I made the photo matt look like a tag by adding a half circle at the top.
The tree was cut using the paper dolls cartridge for the cricut machine.
This page has a large pocket which I used to tuck the tag into. Here is another glossy tiger circle attached with a pin.
I beaded the border thingy. I really love the cool teeth/claw pointy beads! they are super cool!
This page is very simple. I added another stick and I wanted the tiger pin to stand out. Isnt it cute?
I just happened to find the pin laying around! I cut the pionty thing off and used glossy accents to adhere it.
I used a handmade newspaper flower on this page. More of the cool grass stuff too!
My favourite part on this page is the tooth charm. Same kind as before but I attached it to the stick with a chain.

I hope you like my mini book! Please let me know what you think.

Tiger Project!

I am doing a project for school on Siberian Tigers. I have always loved these beautiful cats and I was excited to hear that we got to pick our animal and we could present it in any creative way possible! Of course I decided to used my love of scrapbooking to my advantage. This is just the cover to my mini book but I will post more pictures when it is complete. Isnt this picture captivating? I find it hard not to stare at. I found it on google images but I do not have a link...

Cuttlebug Challenge

I made this card for this week's Cuttlebug Challenge. All you have to do is make a fall or Halloween card and use some provocraft dies or embossing folders.

I used the distressed stripes embossing folder and some more of the cool mesh stuff from an oranges bag. The text paper is from a thesaurus and the cool light orange wavy border is from doodlebug.

2S4Y challenge - halloween!

Here is the very first of my Halloween cards! It was really easy to run with the awesome sketch from 2S4Y. The gorgeous background tree stamp is from Local King Rubber Stamp and they have alot more beautiful images on their website. I really like the fact that they are MADE IN CANADA!

I cut the orange woven loose burlap looking stuff from a 10 LB Sunkist Orange bag. It has a very fall look I think. The wavy orange border is a diecut from doodlebug and I used more of the film strip border I love. The pumpkin sticker is from Stickopotomus. I have had these probably since last Halloween but never knew what to do with them. I actually am not a sticker person but I love how this looks.
I am super excited for October 31st this year but not only because of the candy factor. My friends and I are all going to a Marianas Trench concert! It will be pretty awesome and we plan to dress up of course.

getting back into routine

-Sorry Bloggers! I have been pretty busy these past weeks. I have not posted or been creating near as much as I would like to. September was busy getting back into school and grade 11 has had alot of homework so far.

-I have also started my winter sport ringette recently. Some new arrangements and changes to my team situation have had me pretty stressed. I am glad to finally be settled with that now.

-I have been working about every second Saturday at the scrap store and am still loving that. I wish I had time to work more. I bet not alot of people can say that.

-Also I am crazilly following the Calgary Flames. I am proud to say they have won their first 3 games of the season! WOOT! I sure do miss Cammalleri though. We played Montreal last night and it was super sad to see him in the wrong jersey.

-Hopefully my crafting will become more frequent very soon. I have been working on a video tutorial to post on youtube and have been going through a modpodge phase. I have started collecting clothing tags and barcodes for projects. Don't judge till you see my creations :) it is weird but pretty cool.

-I have some cool news to share! One of my camping layouts was featured on a camping blog yesterday! Check it out at Picture Camping
