Pink Paislee Fancy Free Haul and Layouts

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday! I got to watch my sister-in-law walk the stage at her high school graduation and we are all so proud of her. This weekend is a long one in Canada as Monday is Victoria Day, so we are having a bit of a gathering with some of my family. Next weekend we will be having our annual camp out at my parent's acreage with my in-laws as well. I am really looking forward to enjoying all of these events and hopefully the weather improves soon.

In scrappy news: I am so excited to share some of the Pink Paislee Fancy Free products that I found at my LSS! This collection by Paige Evans is so colourful and fun! It typically wouldn't be something I am super attracted to because of all the pink in the papers, but I have found so many beautiful inspiration pages (many from Paige herself) that I have come to love it. I am also sharing two of the layouts that I created using these products. I couldn't stop myself from using it, even when I hadn't filmed my haul video yet! I hope that you enjoy.

I am so happy that I have gotten into a 12x12 kick! I have a couple more to share soon, but I hope you enjoy these for now. These layouts are made using our engagement photos that were taken by the very talented Chris Simon of Let's Reminisce. I am not very worried about telling a story on these pages, because they will be part of our wedding album that tells a larger story!
Below is the sketch that I followed for this page. It was found on the Hip Kit blog where there is a lot of other inspiration! I moved the embellishment clusters around somewhat and the triangles are not exactly copied either. The flexibility of following a sketch is something I really love! It can be followed literally in every detail, or it can be used loosely as a starting point!

Below is the second layout for today. I had so much fun cutting out the circles and arranging them on the page! I selected phrases that would be appropriate for this "love" type theme and also tried to balance the colours around the page.
This layout is based on a sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Instead of using paper for the rectangles, I stitched some rough ones and filled them in with gelatos.

I hope that you enjoyed watching my haul and seeing some of my recent Fancy Free projects! If you are still looking to purchase this collection, I recommend checking out some online stores or calling your local scrapbooking stores. It will be completely gone in a short time, so i wish you the best of luck! Thank you for stopping by today!

This is very nice! Did you stitch the circles by hand? If so did you use a template?
