Art Journal Flip - 100th Video!

Thank you to all of my subscribers, viewers, and blog readers for all of your support over the course of my first 100 videos! I am so happy to have you all on this journey with me!

As I discussed in my video, I have gone through so many changes during my time on Youtube over the last 6.5 years. I began while I was living at home with my family and still in high school. I started dating my now husband, moved to the acreage with my family, graduated high school, started university, moved to residence, got engaged, moved to my own place, got married, finished university, and finally I have started a new chapter in this adventure!

I have been uploading 2 videos per week (Tuesdays and Fridays) since the start of February and I will continue to do so for as long as I can! I love creating this content and it is so rewarding! I am beginning the process for launching an online class and designing my own digital products. I can't wait to share what I come up with and this will be a whole new adventure for me!

I hope that you have enjoyed this video and my art journal flip. I have many new things to share with you, so I hope you can stick around! Thank you all for your continuous support!

Easter Weekend

I haven't been sharing very many life events lately, other than what is in my Project Life album! Today I want to share a bit about what I have been up to this week and what I did for Easter weekend.

First of all, Andrew's birthday was last Monday and we have been to events for that almost everyday since! We went out for drinks or meals with different friends and family, have gone shopping with his birthday gift cards, and had our own date night at home. It has been so busy!

This weekend we celebrated Easter with both of our families. On Good Friday we visited my parents and brother at their place. My mom created a beer/egg scavenger hunt for us out in the yard (they live on a 10 acre acreage) and we had such a blast running around! Below you can see my partially completed "basket".
We had a wonderful supper at my parents' place and I always enjoy seeing my mom's lovely decorations on the table.
On Saturday we went out for brunch at one of our favourite pubs with my in-laws as another extended birthday celebration (non pictured, but it will appear in my PL album). They make the best smoked meat there! If you are in the area, I am talking about the Palomino. Though it may not be everyone's cup of tea, we loved the relaxed atmosphere and rustic decor.

On Easter Sunday we got up very early (hence the stunning sunrise picture) and went over to Andrew's grandparents' house to help cook breakfast for the church congregation. Everyone was invited over to their home prior to church and we had a lovely meal together. We had a great service, as usual, back at our regular location.
A lovely lady from church created this incredible scene using an eggshell! It shows the rock moved away to reveal the empty tombstone. She said she coated the inside of the shell with wax to strengthen it and added cheesecloth on the outside to help the dirt stay on top. The grass took about 3 weeks to grow this high and she watered it 4 times/day (oh my!) using a baby spoon! The crosses are made of twigs that she found outside and the rocks were collected there too. I just love this idea and I hope to make one myself next year! She brought this to church as the centerpiece of her cookie tray and of course the cookies were gorgeous too!
After the service we went back to the grandparents' place with just the family this time. Grandpa always creates a scavenger hunt for the grandchildren (ages 8-26) and we work together in two teams to hunt for the clues around their house (maybe a block radius). We had a fun afternoon and an incredible dinner made by Grandma. We went home very tired last night after such a busy week and weekend!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter full of blessings, family, and friends! Tomorrow I have an exciting new video with some announcements, but it will be extra special because it will be my 100th video on Youtube! Wow!

Thank you for stopping by today :)
